A medical expert in the county says immunity' from last year's flu season could be behind cases falling

It's as latest official data shows that hospital admissions it in the East is falling by around twenty per-cent.

Health bosses in Norfolk are urging families to keep children to at home- if they're showing flu-like symptoms.

"People still have to go about their daily-lives, if they're well enough to do so"

Professor Paul Hunter works at the University of East Anglia, Norwich Medical School:

"If you are offered the vaccine then it is certainly worthwhile taking it up.

"Beyond that it's very hard to give more structured advice because people still have to go about their daily-lives, if they're well enough to do so.

"However, if you've got the classic flu symptoms and particularly if you've got joint-muscle pains and are quite unwell then you need to stay at home.

"That's partly due to the fact that you can't function properly if you're unwell with flu
