Police seek witnesses after fatal Thetford collision

Two killed in Mundford Road crash involving Toyota and Mini Cooper

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Thetford that claimed two lives.

The crash occurred at 2:05pm on Saturday, 18th April, on the A134 Mundford Road involving a black Mini Cooper and a bronze Toyota Yaris.

Emergency services attended the scene, closing the road to traffic as they worked.

The driver and front seat passenger of the Toyota, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s died at the scene.

The driver of the Mini Cooper, a woman in her 60s, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious injuries.

Police officers plan to speak with the Mini Cooper driver in connection with the incident.

The road reopened at approximately 11:15pm.

Officials urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
