Police appealing for information and child in hospital after Great Yarmouth collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Great Yarmouth.

The collision happened at around 11.20am on Sunday (26 April 2026) when an orange Vauxhall Corsa collided with concrete bollards at the turning circle at the north end of North Drive.

Norfolk Police says a child passenger in the car suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where they remain.

The driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by careless driving and drug driving and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Police say he was subsequently released on bail pending further investigations.

Norfolk Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any relevant dashcam footage of the vehicle before the collision.
