Plans for £13 million development in King’s Lynn
A public consultation has opened
It's claimed proposals, including a new Aldi food store, EG petrol filling station and Starbucks drive-through, could create up to 80 new local jobs.
Aldi is working in partnership with developer, Rothstone, to bring forward plans for a new development, on land south of Beveridge Way, close to the Hardwick Roundabout, in King’s Lynn.
The proposals would represent an investment of approximately £13 million in King’s Lynn and include a new Aldi food store, an EG petrol filling station and Starbucks drive-through. Together, the development could create up to 80 new full and part-time jobs, alongside further employment during construction and through the supply chain.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “We are pleased to be working with Rothstone to bring forward proposals for a new Aldi food store as part of this significant investment in King’s Lynn.
“The new store would create up to 40 new Aldi jobs and provide local residents with greater choice and convenient access to our high-quality, affordable products. We encourage residents to take part in the consultation, find out more about the proposals and share their views with us.”
Managing Director of Rothstone, Mark Rothery, said: “We are delighted to be bringing forward proposals for this significant new development on Beveridge Way. With an overall investment of approximately £13 million, the scheme would bring Aldi, EG and Starbucks together on one site, creating up to 80 new jobs and delivering a high-quality development for King’s Lynn.
“We have worked closely with Aldi and the wider project team to develop the proposals and look forward to hearing the views of the local community as we progress towards submitting a planning application.”
