Partial closure order issued to tackle drug crime at Wisbech home
A house in Wisbech has been partially closed until March
A house in Wisbech has been hit with a partial closure order to address drug dealing and associated criminal activity in the area.
The order, served on 3 Laburnum Close, Wisbech, was issued on 18th December following an application by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court.
The closure, which remains in place until 18th March 2026, prohibits access to everyone except the named tenant, emergency services, employees of Clarion Housing Association, Fenland District Council, and designated support services.
Police confirmed that breaching the order is a criminal offence and could lead to up to three months in prison, a fine, or both.
Sergeant Lee Lombardo, from Wisbech’s NPT, said, “Drug dealing and the associated criminality such as anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact to the surrounding community. My team and I hope this order provides neighbouring residents with some reassurance and we will deal with any breaches robustly.”
Anyone with information about breaches of the order can report directly to the police online at www.cambs.police.uk/report . Those without internet access can call 101 for assistance.
