Number arrested up to 21 after Thetford disorder

Twenty one people have now been arrested following last week’s disorder in Thetford

Among the latest are a man in his 50s and a teenage boy, both bailed while investigations into racially aggravated offences continue.

Norfolk police stated:

"A man aged in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order. He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has since been released on bail until 26 September 2026.

A teenage boy was also arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary. He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He has since been released on bail until 9 November 2026."
