A prolific theft offender has been handed a 5-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) banning her from Co-op stores across Norfolk.

Amy Clark, 44, of Millers Lane, Norwich appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday 15 April) and was given the order after she pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft from shop at an earlier hearing.

This follows seven incidents between 19 September to 14 December 2024 where Clark has entered several Co-op stores, including Chartwell Road and Sprowston Road, and CCTV has captured her steeling items such as laundry products, baby items, cheese and meat.

Clark was arrested on 13 January 2025 on suspicion of theft where she was charged for seven offences.

The conditions in Clark’s CBO state that she must not enter any Co-Op Stores in the county of Norfolk.

In addition to the CBO, Clark was given a 12-month Community Order and was fined £80, ordered to pay compensation of £80, a victim surcharge of £114 and costs of £42.50.
