Norwich North MP launches free summer school for young people
Norwich North MP, Alice Macdonald, has opened applications for her new summer school
Alice Macdonald, MP for Norwich North, is running her first Summer School this year.
The week long programme is for young people aged 16-18 living or studying in her consistency.
She hopes the new initiative will give participants skills and insight into how decisions are made both locally and nationally.
Running from the 20th - 24th of June, those selected to attend can expect to take part in interactive workshops on communication, campaigning and persuasive speaking.
They will have the opportunity to visit Parliament in London, for a behind the scenes tour, and gain insight into the day to day work of an MP.
Alice Macdonald said she hopes the experience will inspire future generations to make a difference.
“Whether you’re passionate about a specific issue or just curious about how change happens, this Summer School is designed to give you the tools and confidence to get involved,
So, bring your ideas, build your skills and make change.”
Applications for the summer school are now open and close on Sunday 14 June.
