A Norwich man has been jailed for nine years, for laundering more than £380,000.

Daniel Brown, 37, from Pye Court, appeared at Norwich Crown Court today (Monday) and was sentenced to nine years in prison.

He’d previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, two counts of possessing criminal property and one count of concealing criminal property.

On 10 February 2025, Brown’s letting agent contacted Norfolk Police after discovering drugs in the apartment he was subletting, following a water leak.

Officers attended the property on Surrey Street, in Norwich and found 3.3kg of herbal cannabis and around £80,000 in cash.

Enquiries established Brown was out of the country. He returned to Heathrow Airport on 26 October and was arrested in his first-class seat.

Further searches at another property linked to Brown, on Geoffrey Watling Way in Norwich uncovered two red bricks of cocaine powder weighing a total of 1.75kg, £21,000 in cash, herbal cannabis and other drug paraphernalia.

High-end designer clothing was also seized from the property and directly from Brown on his arrest, including a Rolex watch, a diamond-encrusted ring and diamond earrings.

Financial investigations revealed a total of almost £385,000 had been deposited into Brown’s bank accounts between March 2022 and October 2025. HMRC confirmed he had declared no earnings during that time.
