Norwich City have completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw from Plymouth Argyle.

The 27-year-old joins the club on a contract until the summer of 2028.

Grimshaw began his career with Manchester City and spent time on loan in Belgium with Lommel SK, working under new Norwich City head coach Liam Manning.

The goalkeeper then moved permanently to Blackpool, where he spent three seasons as the Tangerines' first choice prior to his move to Plymouth.

During the 2024/25 season, he featured in 21 Sky Bet Championship games.

Joining the club, Grimshaw said: "I'm really excited. I've known of the interest for a little while and as soon as I heard about it, it was a place I really wanted to come - a big club with big ambitions, so it matched what I wanted to do.

"I've heard good things about the fans - the atmosphere on both occasions that I've played here was amazing.

"I think it's going to be a really big year for us. We want to push for promotion and push for the play-offs. I'm here to give everything I have and hopefully we'll achieve that together."

Sporting director Ben Knapper added: "I’m pleased to welcome Dan and his family to Norwich City.

"He will add a lot of quality and competition to our goalkeeping cohort, and his profile is a good fit for our style of play.

"We’re pleased to get it over the line early and look forward to him joining up with us in pre-season."
