Norfolk parents fundraising to adapt home for son with fatal condition
Leon was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when he was six years-old
A mum and dad in Norfolk are asking for donations to help them make vitally important changes to their home for their six year-old son who has a fatal disability.
Leon needs to have a wet room and a tailored bedroom put in place- to help him manage the effects of a muscle wasting condition, called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Leon was diagnosed with this rare condition, when he was six years-old. There's currently no cure for it.
The average life expectancy is around mid twenties but with more understanding and research the life expectancy is increasing..

Liam is his Dad:
"Day to day Leon struggles with his mobility. He uses a wheelchair to get around and he becomes tired very quickly. He needs help and support many tasks, daily.
"It is really difficult for us as his parents to watch his condition worsen and the struggles that he has both physically and emotionally, every day".
Michelle is his Mum:
"He will need a ceiling track hoist, level access shower, accessible toilet, an adjustable bed, storage for medical equipment
"We will get some support from our local council with this, but unfortunately it will fall far short of the whole cost.
