A dog trainer in Norfolk is telling us sickness, disorientation and seizures are signs your furry friend has chocolate poisoning.

Data from 'The Kennel Club' shows that the amount of these cases typically double over the Easter period- compared to other months.

Last year- nearly a fifth of chocolate poisoning in dogs happened in the months leading up or after this festive period- according to the Kennel Club.

Several Easter foods are toxic or unhealthy for dogs. These include chocolate, hot cross buns, Simnel cake, grapes, raisins, currants, and certain spring flowers and bulbs.

"It's important to keep to hand any wraps"

Damion Vincent is from 'Fetch Dog Walking and Training' based near Norwich:

"If you see any of these signs, you need to call your vet right away. They may ask for details about the food or foods that they've eaten.

"So, it's important to keep to hand any wraps or packaging to hand, so they can diagnose and treat your dog as quickly as possible".
