Norwich have completed the signing of Czech winger Matej Jurasek from Slavia Prague.

The 21-year-old moves to Carrow Road on a contract until June 2030 in a deal reported to be worth £5.8million.

Jurasek is set to join up with Johannes Hoff Thorup's squad in February, with Norwich confirming the transfer was "subject to international clearance, work permit and approval by the football governing bodies".

Having come through Slavia Prague's academy, Jurasek made 91 first-team appearances, scoring 17 goals, and played in the Europa League.

Jurasek, who was included in the Czech squad for Euro 2024, told the Canaries' official website: "I am really excited to be here.

"I think I will improve myself with the help of the coaches and my team-mates and I hope to make a real contribution to the club.

"I like the stadium and the training ground and have heard good things about the area, so I am very happy."

Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper feels Jurasek can further progress his "huge talent" at the Norfolk club, who currently sit 11th in the Sky Bet Championship, five points outside the play-off places.

"He is a player that we have followed for a considerable time, so we are very pleased to finally get this deal over the line," Knapper said.

"He is an exciting player and a huge talent that we feel is a great fit for us, with a very high ceiling.

"For a young player, he already has a lot of experience in both domestic, European, and international football."
