Man's body found in Norfolk woodland

Police have confirmed that the body of a man has been found near Taverham.

The body was found this afternoon (12th of August) in woodland off Ringland Road by a member of the public.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of 48-year-old Timothy Turner who was reported missing on Wednesday 5th of August have been informed.

The death is not thought to be suspicious, and a file has been prepared for the coroner.

This case has been referred to Norfolk Police's Professional Standards Department as standard procedure due to previous police contact.
