A man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a woman who died of a neck wound.
Raymond Williams, 61, appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court accused of the murder of Tania Williams.
Norfolk Police said officers were called to Catherine Gardens in Thorpe St Andrew shortly before 11.45pm on Saturday to reports of a woman injured in the street.
The woman, aged in her 40s, was declared dead at the scene, the force said.
Williams, whose address was given as Catherine Gardens, spoke only to confirm his personal details when he appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
He was not asked to enter a plea to the charge of murder during the two-minute-long hearing.
Williams was remanded into custody and is due to appear before Norwich Crown Court on Thursday.
