Man jailed for burglary and failing to follow sex offender rules in Norwich

A 37-year-old man has been jailed for burglary after breaking into a shop on Philadelphia Lane in Norwich and stealing alcohol and cigarettes.

Paddy Mutch, of no fixed address, was caught after CCTV footage, and blood left at the scene, linked him to the crime.

He also admitted, at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court, to failing to follow rules as a registered sex offender, and was sentenced to 52 weeks in prison.

On 13 November, Mutch broke a window to get inside the shop - but he managed to cut himself on the broken glass.

He's also been ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154.
