Two men have appeared in court charged with rape and sexual offences in Great Yarmouth.

It follows reports two teenage girls were sexually assaulted and raped on South Beach on Saturday 16 May 2026.

Dawid Wlach, 35, of Dover Court, Caister-on-Sea, appeared at Norwich Crown Court today (Wednesday 26 August 2026) where he pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape, sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault.

He was bailed by the court until his trial.

Another man charged in connection with the same incident also appeared at the same hearing.

Madalin Ilinca, 34, of Suffolk Place, Great Yarmouth, had previously pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault. He was remanded by the court until his trial.

A provisional trial date was set for 7 December 2026.
