Man charged following Porsche theft in St Albans

Vehicle was recovered by police shortly after being stolen

A 36-year-old man has been charged with motor vehicle theft after a Porsche Macan was recovered by police in St Albans.

Aturas Bulka, from Redgate, Thetford in Norfolk, was arrested on 30th January following the theft of the car from Folly Avenue.

The owner received a notification that their vehicle was moving at approximately 3am, prompting police intervention.

Roads policing officers located the stolen Porsche at Nashes Farm Lane, recovering the vehicle shortly thereafter.

Bulka was found in the vicinity and arrested by police.

He was charged with theft on 31st January and appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court, where he was remanded in custody.

Bulka is scheduled for his next court appearance at St Albans Crown Court on 5th March.
