Man in court charged over Norwich murder after arrest in France

A 23-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Oliver Payne in Norwich, following his arrest in France.
Jahziah Harrison, from London, was extradited back to the UK, appearing at Norwich Magistrates Court on 21st July 2026.
He faces multiple charges including the murder and manslaughter of 38-year-old Oliver Payne, possession of a bladed article, drug supply offences, and perverting the course of justice.
The charges stem from an incident on 2nd August 2024, where Payne was fatally stabbed at Paragon Place in Norwich, despite efforts by emergency services to save him.
Harrison is additionally charged with another count of possession of a bladed article, grievous bodily harm, and further drug offences related to a separate occurrence.
Following his arrest in France on 6th July 2026, he has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 22nd July.
In connection with the investigation, three more arrests occurred in Islington, London, involving two women in their 20s and a woman in her 60s on suspicion of assisting an offender. All have been released under investigation.
