Man charged after reports of aggressive behaviour in Dereham

A man has been charged with a number of offences following an incident in Dereham on Sunday 20th April.

It comes after police were called to Quebec Street to reports of a man behaving aggressively.

During the incident he fell from a second-floor window and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for treatment.

After receiving all necessary treatment the man in his 30s was arrested and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Joshua Orford, aged 31, of Quebec Street, Dereham, was subsequently charged with affray, criminal damage, and possession of a knife in public.

He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 24 April and was released on bail to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 22 May 2025.
