Man charged with GBH with intent following assault in Dereham
He was also charged with two further offences of ABH relating to the same victim who was known to him
A man has appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court this morning, charged with GBH, following an assault in Dereham.
Police were called to Church Street in the town just after 4.15pm on Monday 11 May to reports of a fight in progress.
A man in his 50s is described to be in a critical condition after he was transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
44-year-old Tommy Cann, of Guardian Way, Dereham, was arrested following the assault.
He has since been charged with GBH with intent.
He was also charged with two further offences of ABH relating to the same victim who was known to him.
He was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing at Norwich Crown Court on 10 June.
