Man charged after attack on woman in Norwich

A man has been charged after a woman was assaulted in Norwich.

Police received a report at 3pm on Thursday (15 May) that a woman was being assaulted by three men in Rouen Road.

Officers attended the scene and three men were arrested.

Cameron Brown, aged 27, of Clarence Road, Norwich, has been charged with assault (ABH), assault with intent to resist arrest, three counts of assault on an emergency worker, and an attempt to make use of a firearm (PAVA spray).

He was due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court yesterday (17 May).

Two men in their 20s have been bailed pending further enquiries.

The woman who was assaulted has since been discharged from hospital.

The four police officers who were injured during the arrest received medical treatment, and have returned to duty.
