Major incident declared by Norfolk fire and rescue service as they deal with number of incidents
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service have declared a major incident due to several emergencies they are dealing with.
The force made the declaration on Thursday, citing "significant pressure" on resources.
They stated:
"Current operational activity across Norfolk is placing significant pressure on our resources.
We are still available to attend emergencies but will prioritise life risk and property.
We ask that the public only call 999 for genuine emergencies.
Response times to non-life risk incidents may be delayed as we prioritise our limited remaining available resources."
