Woman receives suspended sentence for sexual offence against teenage boy

Lisca Willmott, aged 45, has been sentenced to a two-year suspended prison term for a sexual offence against a teenage boy.

The sentencing took place today, 3rd August 2026, at Norwich Crown Court after Willmott previously admitted to engaging in sexual activity with the boy.

The offence occurred in the summer of 2023 at Willmott's home in Runhall and came to light when the boy reported it to his school staff.

Initially arrested in October 2023, Willmott denied the charge but later changed her plea.

In addition to the suspended sentence, she has been handed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the Sex Offenders' Register.

A statement from the victim was read in court, outlining the ongoing impact of Willmott's actions on his life.

"I was enjoying life, socialising and seeing friends," the victim recalled. "This was all taken from me by Willmott. I had to grow up very quickly after it happened."

He continued, "Prior to the incident I never had any anxiety but after I struggled to lead a normal life."

Detective Constable Paul McCormack, who led the investigation, commended the victim's strength and courage throughout.

"We take sexual offences against children extremely seriously, regardless of when the offence occurred, and we will pursue every opportunity to bring offenders before the courts," McCormack said.
