King's Lynn man sentenced to eight months after riding dirt bike into pedestrians on pavement
He mowed down two women and between them they suffered serious life-long injuries
A King's Lynn man has been sentenced to eight months in prison after riding an off-road bike and seriously injuring two women last year.
Zak Greenacre, 22, of De Grey Road, crashed into the pedestrians on the footpath alongside Gayton Road on 1st May 2025.
He admitted the offences of ‘causing injury by careless driving’, ‘driving with no insurance’ and ‘failing to stop at a red light’ at court earlier this year, after initially pleading not guilty.
One of the women was in her 80s at the time, the other in her 50s.
Between them they suffered serious life-long injuries including fractured knees and a broken ankle, as well as serious bruising where the bike ran over one of their shoulders.
During the court proceedings, a personal impact statement from the younger victim was read out.
“Everyday I feel frightened of the world and feel a sense of impending doom. I always feel like something is going to happen. I feel that my world has shrunk due to the fear and always being on edge which I never used to be like”.
On 19th May 2026, Greenacre was sentenced to eight months in prison and disqualified from driving for 27 months.
