A man from Hunstanton has been sentenced to seven years in prison after defrauding 10 victims of more than £1.5 million.

Morgan Reeve, 26, of Wodehouse Road, appeared at Norwich Crown Court today, 19th December 2025, where he was found guilty of 18 counts of fraud by false representation.

Reeve’s offences spanned three years, starting in 2018, during which he promised to invest money for his victims but failed to repay them.

During the fraud, Reeve portrayed himself as a wealthy trader, convincing victims he could generate profits through the foreign exchange market and BD Swiss, an online trading platform.

He used multiple messaging services to contact victims, falsifying claims of his successes and assuring them they would not face financial loss. However, when victims attempted to retrieve their money, Reeve provided false excuses and made further empty promises.

The scale of Reeve’s fraud began to unravel when one victim reported the matter to the police, which led others to come forward and reveal similar experiences.

Investigating officer DC Aaron Jones said, “Reeve continuously manipulated multiple victims over an extended period of time to fund his lavish lifestyle and gambling habit.”

He added, “His actions have had a devastating effect on his victim’s lives. I hope that they can find a small level of comfort in this sentence, knowing he is unable to defraud anyone else for the foreseeable future.”
