Housing plot in Norfolk left unfinished since 2021 could soon be completed
Council to consider plans to complete estate
Plans to finally complete the unfinished housing estate in a village outside Norfolk, have been submitted to Broadland District Council.
The planning committee is expected to support a proposal from Ingram Homes to construct five homes on the fenced-off land next week on Juniper Way in Horsford
Residents have urged for the completion of the estate since nearby houses were finished in 2021.
Officials mentioned that although greenfield land would be sacrificed, the new homes will blend into the existing neighbourhood’s design.
Many of those living on Juniper Way back the proposal, with one individual noting,
"The plans are entirely in keeping with the eight homes previously built by Ingram Homes and will finish off the development."
Residents nearby have called the plot an "eyesore":
"The redundant land, where the development is proposed, is a nuisance at present and the building of bungalows will eradicate this."
Another added, "It will be brilliant for the road to be finished."
Broadland District Council’s planning committee are due to meet next Wednesday.
