A 27-year-old man has admitted drug offences connected to a county line operation in Great Yarmouth, following the death of a woman from a suspected overdose.

Sidnei Sa, of Sackville Close, was linked to the ‘Rico’ drugs line during investigations into the death of a woman in her 40s on 18th January 2026. Messages advertising drugs were discovered on her phone, leading officers to Sa.

On 20th January, Sa attempted to evade arrest by jumping from a first-floor window and fleeing on foot, before being detained in Abyssinia Road by chasing officers.

He was charged with six offences, including being concerned in the supply of heroin between 7th January and 21st January, assaulting a police officer, and possession of cannabis, diamorphine, crack cocaine, and criminal property amounting to £1178.14.

Sa admitted all charges during his appearance at Norwich Magistrates' Court on 22nd January 2026.

He has been remanded in custody ahead of sentencing at Norwich Crown Court on 23rd February.

Detective Inspector Jo Minnis from Norfolk County Lines Team said: “The swift way that Norfolk proactive teams responded to this threat demonstrates that the supply of dangerous class A drugs will not be tolerated in our towns, and those known to be involved will be investigated, located, and prosecuted.”
