The Great Norfolk Charity Rideout is set to return today (Saturday, 8th August) with motorcyclists gathering to raise funds for local charities.

Now in its third year, the event is a collaborative effort by The Fire Fighters Charity and Norfolk Blood Bikes.

The ride aims to highlight responsible riding and the work of local volunteers.

Supported by Norfolk Advanced Motorcyclists, the ride is expected to feature 200 motorbikes.

The event has raised over £4,000 to date for various charities, not just those organising the ride.

Riding in escorted groups, participants will tour the southern part of Norfolk.

They will make stops to enjoy the hospitality offered by off-duty volunteer firefighters.

The ride will conclude at the Wicked Wheely Bike Show at Fendicks Fisheries near Whittington.

Riders who are interested in joining are being advised to head to Dereham Fire Station on Saturday morning at 9:30am, where they can make a donation, and join a group led by a blood bike.

Organisers are hopeful that this year's ride will set a new fundraising record.
