Norfolk Police are issuing a warning about scams and fraud in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding villages about fraud.

Four potential victims have called the force this weekend about scammers pretending to be Norfolk police officers, and asking for people's banking credentials.

No money has been taken from those reporting the calls.

The incidents happened in Hemsby, Ormesby, and Scratby.

Unlike previous scam attempts, where the person calling claims to be from a police station elsewhere in the country, these scammers are impersonating local officers.

The force says they will never ask for these details from you, and urge people not to rush into scammer's demands.
