Four people involved in running a heroin and crack cocaine drugs line in Great Yarmouth have been jailed for a total of 16 and a half years.

They were sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on Friday (15 August) after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine in Great Yarmouth.

Sarah Hayes, aged 42, of Marine Parade Great Yarmouth was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months imprisonment.

Jucietice Macotia, aged 22, of South Quay Great Yarmouth, was sentenced to 5 years and 7 months imprisonment.

Ellis Stafford, aged 23, of Park Gate Oldham sentences to 3 years 6 months imprisonment.

Hayther Monterio, aged 21 of Egerton Street, Oldham was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months imprisonment.

The group had been running the 'vampire' line, which operated between London, Oldham and Great Yarmouth between September 2021 and January 2022.

In January 2022 officers searching for an unrelated wanted person in Great Yarmouth attended a property on Wellesley Road.

Inside a number of phones and sim cards were spotted and later a quantity of drugs were found hidden under the cooker hood.

Two people inside the property at the time- Macotia and Monterio- were arrested and further enquiries led officers to Hayes and Stafford.

It's estimated the drugs recovered in this case were worth around £7,720.

Following sentencing Inspector James Makepeace said; "The imprisonment of these drug dealers marks the conclusion of a lengthy but successful investigation into the 'vampire' line which was dealing dangerous drugs in Great Yarmouth.

"We remain committed to disrupting these supply lines, which in turn disrupts the criminals intent on fuelling wider issues like violence and anti-social behaviour here.

"We will continue to take robust action against those who seek to exploit vulnerable people and bring harm to our communities".
