Five blades have been handed in here as part of a week-long campaign to tackle knife crime last month.

It's a fall of seven on last May's figures for 'Operation Sceptre'. A national effort that's run locally by every police force.

The figures from November 2025 for Norfolk:

-60+ high visibility patrols

-35 stop searches

-Eight educational visits to shop with Trading Standards

-Six Project Servator deployments (plain clothes officer disruption

-Nine arrests

-Five knives handed into police stations

"If you feel the need to carry a knife you need to stop and consider why"

Sergeant Matt Paine is from Norfolk Police's Community Safety Team:

"I think it's very easy to get caught up with the stereotypical perception of a person who might feel the need to carry a knife.

"I think it's wider than that and I don't think we can pin-point somebody based on their age, background or similar factors.

"If you feel the need to carry a knife you need to stop and consider why that is the case and get some help.

"Having that knife is only going to cause you, or somebody else, harm. Although it's perhaps easy to think that the Police's view will be to criticise you, that's not always the case here.
