Homes in Kenninghall suffered significant damage after a fire broke out in a domestic building.

Firefighters were called at 2.33pm on Sunday (9 August) to a property on School Close. Crews sponded from various stations including Diss, Attleborough, Thetford, Wymondham, Hingham, Carrow, Watton, Hethersett, Earlham, and Mundesley, with additional support from a water carrier in Hethersett.

Thermal imaging technology was deployed to identify potential hot spots.

The fire spread rapidly, causing extensive damage to two homes while the prompt actions of firefighters limited damage to nearby properties.

The operation concluded with a stop message received at 4.12pm.

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue service thanked the community for their support during the incident.
