Appeal for information after three-vehicle collision near Erpingham

Police are investigating the circumstances around the incident on the A140

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving three vehicles near Erpingham on the A140 last month.

The incident happened at 1.20 pm on Tuesday 9th December 2025 near the junction with Church Road. A black Volkswagen Caddy van collided with a white Ford B Max and a DAF lorry.

The man driving the Ford B Max, who is in his 80s, initially sustained minor injuries, which have since worsened. He was admitted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital on 2nd January 2026, prompting police to appeal for further information.

The drivers of the Volkswagen Caddy, a man in his 40s, and the DAF lorry, a man in his 50s, also sustained minor injuries.

Norfolk Police are continuing investigations into the events leading up to the collision, including assessing the manner of driving of the VW Caddy.
