Child in hospital and police appealing for information after collision in Poringland

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision in Poringland on Sunday (26 April 2026) afternoon.
The incident involved a white and blue Suzuki motorbike in collision with a pedestrian at 1.10pm in Howe Lane, near the junction of Glenn Road.
Norfolk Police says the rider of the motorbike was in collision with a pedestrian, a child, who was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries and is in a stable condition.
The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving and a second man, in his 20s has also been arrested in connection with the incident.
The police force says both men have been taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they remain.
