Cannabis farm fire in Norwich under investigation

Police are looking for anyone who saw anything suspicious near the site

40 cannabis plants were found inside a building on Magdalen Street in Norwich after a fire on Thursday (5th June).

A road closure is still in place between Cowgate and Edward Street.

There's diversions too after the fire caused structural damage to the building.

A Norfolk police spokesperson said: "A police patrol saw the fire at 2.49pm on Thursday and emergency services were on scene.

"Once inside the building, crime scene investigators and fire investigators found more than 40 cannabis plants and hydroponics equipment in the building.

"No arrests have been made and police are continuing to investigate the discovery.

"Enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Norfolk Police quoting crime reference: NC-05062025-258"
