Police are seeking two boys as key witnesses to a serious collision in Terrington St John.

The collision happened on the A47 on Sunday (17 May) shortly before 11am when a grey Audi collided with a grey VW Tayron and a red Vauxhall Corsa, which were all travelling towards Wisbech.

The driver of the Tayron, a woman in her 50s, suffered serious injuries and is receiving hospital care, while the drivers of the Audi and Corsa sustained minor injuries.

The Audi driver, a man in his 40s, was arrested for suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been bailed until Monday, 25th May.

Investigating officer PC Richard Roe is urging two boys to come forward as they may have information or footage related to the collision.

The boys are believed to be between 12 and 15 years old and were spotted on a nearby bridge, wearing mostly dark clothing.

PC Roe clarified that the boys are not in trouble and only needed as witnesses, stating: “I would like to thank the public for their support in the early stages of this investigation."

“We now believe two boys may have witnessed or have footage of the collision itself or events leading up to it."

“I would like to make it clear, these boys are not in trouble and are only being sought as witnesses, please do get in contact if you know who they are."
