Body of woman found in River Yare in Cringleford

The body of a woman has been discovered in the River Yare in Cringleford, police have confirmed.

Members of the public made the discovery on the afternoon of 6th December 2025.

While formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of 79-year-old Jill Grint, who was reported missing from the Earlham area yesterday, have been informed.

Police have stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
