Body of a man found following house fire in Taverham

Emergency services were called to the Old Warren just after 4pm on Tuesday (16 September).

The body of a man has been discovered following a fire at a property in Taverham Tuesday afternoon (16 September)

Norfolk Police attended the property at the Old Warren in Taverham to assist Norfolk Fire and Rescue and ambulance crews were also on scene at 4.23pm.

The fire was extinguished.

The body of a man has been found within the property. His next of kin have been informed.

A road closure is still in place and a police cordon while investigations are carried out.

The cause of the fire is currently unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. The death is not thought to be suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
