Appeal after man died following Great Yarmouth robbery
A post-mortem examination is due to be held after the victim sustained minor injuries and later died in hospital
Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Great Yarmouth on Sunday 11 January.
The incident is believed to have happened at around 4am on Blackfriars Road.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to the James Paget University Hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. While in hospital his condition deteriorated and he died in hospital yesterday (13 January).
A Home Office post-mortem examination is due to be held tomorrow (15 January) to establish the cause of death and whether there is any connection to the robbery.
Police arrested 26-year-old Osvaldo Semedo, of King Street, Great Yarmouth, on suspicion of robbery in connection to the incident. He was later charged with robbery and appeared at Magistrates’ Court this morning and has been remanded into custody.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward in order to support police with their investigation.
