Woman charged with attempted murder after tram station attack in West Didsbury

Court appearance due on Monday following the incident earlier this week

A woman has been charged with attempted murder following an attack at a tram stop in West Didsbury.

The charge relates to an incident reported on Wednesday 4th March at a tram station in the south Manchester area.

A second charge of assault has also been brought in connection with an unrelated matter.

Woman due in court

25-year-old Keida Finlayson, of Victoria Crescent in Manchester, has been charged with attempted murder and assault.

She has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9th March 2026.
