A 45-year-old woman has been arrested in Manchester on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B and C drugs.

Greater Manchester Police says officers spotted the vehicle at around 3am on Friday 5 September on Barlow Moor Road that had travelled from London and pulled it over after getting information that it may be linked to drug supply.

A search of the vehicle took place on Princess Road.

A suitcase filled with over 3500 controlled tablets of Class C drugs was found, which officers suspected were to be supplied across Greater Manchester.

Drugs found in possession of the vehicle include pregabalin, which is predominantly used to treat epilepsy, but can intensify the highs of recreational drugs such as cannabis or heroin. Officers also recovered tramadol tablets, a cannabis bush, and a block of suspected cannabis resin.
