Two teenagers have been killed in a horror crash between a car and a motorbike in Salford on Thursday night (May 22)
The two boys, aged 16 and 17, were both riding the bike when the collision happened in Lower Broughton Road.
They were rushed to hospital but were both pronounced dead a short time later.
The families of both boys are being supported by specialist officers as our investigation into the incident continues.
The 24-year-old female driver of the car stayed at the scene to assist officers, no arrests have been made.
Detective Sergeant Matt Waggett, of our Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This is a heart-breaking and upsetting incident where two young men have sadly lost their lives and our thoughts are with their families.
“Our investigation continues so we can give them the answers they deserve.
“This is still an active investigation, and we are looking for anyone who has any information regarding the incident to come forward and get in touch with us.”
