Teenager stabbed in back while getting off bus in Gorton
Detectives say the assault poses no wider risk to the public
An investigation is underway after a teenage boy was stabbed in the back as he got off a bus in Gorton.
Greater Manchester Police said the assault happened at around 11:20pm on Monday 1st June.
The 15-year-old boy was reportedly attacked by two males as he stepped off the bus.
He suffered injuries consistent with a knife wound, which officers said were serious but not life-threatening.
The force said the boy has since made a full recovery.
Police appeal
Officers from the force's Xcalibur Task Force are appealing for information about the assault.
They want to speak to two young men believed to have been at the scene, who they say may be able to help with their enquiries.
One of them has been described as a black male wearing a grey and green Manchester United coat with black trousers.
Greater Manchester Police said they believe the attack was targeted and poses no wider risk to the public.
