Salford man critically injured after balcony fall
Police investigate potential attempted murder in Liverpool Street incident
Police in Salford are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered life-threatening injuries from falling off a balcony on Liverpool Street shortly after midnight on 29th August.
Emergency services responded to the call, and the man remains in a critical condition at the hospital.
A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody undergoing questioning.
Ongoing investigation
Chief Inspector Lee Gridley from Greater Manchester Police's Salford district confirmed the arrest and stated that officers are working swiftly to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Gridley assured the community, saying: “We believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public.”
A scene remains in place as investigations continue, with police keen to receive any information that could assist their enquiries.
Appeal for witnesses
Police urge anyone who was present in the Liverpool Street area of Salford during the time of the incident to come forward, especially those with mobile phone, CCTV, Ring doorbell, or dashcam footage.
