Three arrested after woman stabbed in Oldham
The victim's still in hospital with serious injuries
A young woman in her 20s is in hospital after suffering serious injuries in an Oldham attack over the weekend.
On Friday 27th March, officers were called to Greenwood Street at around 10.40pm following reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, police discovered the woman with injuries consistent with a stabbing.
She is currently receiving treatment in hospital where her condition is described as serious but stable.
Two men in their 20s and a juvenile boy have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault.
While the investigation is ongoing, one of the men remains in custody whereas the other man and the juvenile have been released on bail.
Detective Inspector Mike Ogiliev from the Oldham district said: “This is a serious incident and our thoughts remain firmly with the victim at this time.
“Our investigation has continued at pace and officers have made three arrests in relation to this incident.
“We believe this is an isolated event with no wider threat to the community."
He urged anyone who may have witnessed the event or has dashcam, CCTV or mobile footage from the area to get in touch.
