Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in M60 crash
Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after the serious motorway collision
A man in his 50s is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious motorcycle crash on the M60 near Stockport.
The incident happened shortly after 1.40pm on Saturday 12th July on the anti-clockwise side of the motorway between junctions 25 and 24.
Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorbike.
Police say no other vehicles are believed to have been involved, and the rider’s family have been informed.
Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit has launched an investigation and is now appealing for anyone with information or dash-cam footage to come forward.
Officers have also praised members of the public who stopped to provide first aid at the roadside before emergency crews arrived.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash-cam footage to contact us. Officers also thank members of the public who stopped by the roadside to give the man initial first aid.”
