Man dies after being hit by car in Manchester

Police say the man was crossing the road when he was struck

A man has died after being hit by a car in Manchester shortly after midnight on 7th December.

He was treated by emergency crews but the 45-year-old could not be saved.

Police said the man is believed to have been crossing Ardwick Green South when the car struck him.

His family have been told and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver stayed at the scene and officers said no arrests have been made.

Officers are trying to piece together what happened and want to hear from anyone who saw the crash or who has CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the area at the time.
