Man charged with murder after woman found dead in Blackley
Police continue investigation following incident on Broadmoss Drive
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Blackley, after police were called to a disturbance on Broadmoss Drive on Sunday 19th April.
Stephan Garner, of Somerton Court, Blackley, has been charged in connection with the incident.
The 31-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester & Salford Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday 22nd April).
Police response to incident
Shortly before 6pm on Sunday 19th April, officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Broadmoss Drive.
A woman was found dead at the scene.
A man was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and remained in custody for questioning before being formally charged.
The victim’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
A scene remains in place while enquiries continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Anna Barker of the Major Incident Team said: “Our thoughts, first and foremost, remain with the victims family as they grieve their loved one.
"We have a man in custody and detectives are questioning him as we try to establish the full circumstances that led to this tragic death.
"We understand this incident may cause concern amongst the community, but we believe there is no wider risk to the public.
"As we continue to conduct a thorough investigation, you will see an increased police presence in the area, and I encourage anyone in the community to please speak with them and raise any concerns or queries you may have."
