Man arrested after vehicles targeted in Sale
An arrest was made on Saturday morning.
A man has been arrested after a number of vehicles were targeted in the early hours.
Police received reports of a man trying car doors yesterday morning in the early hours.
A man in his 50s was detained by response officers.
Police say it is believed he may be linked to other incidents over the past few weeks.
Detective Superintendent Alicia Smith said: “We have been making great progress in tackling burglary and vehicle crime in Trafford, which is why we are pleased to have this individual in custody.
“Even though we have someone in custody, this is still an active investigation, and we are appealing for any information, dash-cam footage or CCTV from doorbell cams in the area.
“We are looking for footage of anyone acting suspiciously between midnight and 4am this morning, and we are asking residents to check their vehicles for any missing items."
